Message from the Founding Director

These days everybody has a lot of fear, panic, and anxiety due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many people around the world are finding this to be a difficult time. However, for practitioners of the Buddha-Dharma our days are filled with prayers for all those who are having difficulties coping with the present situation mentally, emotionally, physically.

As practitioners we must remain strong – the teachings of the Buddha are a miraculous resource for us to deal with difficulties that we, or the sentient beings around us, may encounter. We have been very fortunate, meeting with great teachers and benefitting from the excellent circumstances of being able to practice the Dharma in our daily lives.

Coronavirus gives us a chance to look inward – to investigate and evaluate oneself. This is a very difficult time of course but it is also the best time for Dharma practice, please take this time as an opportunity to focus on your practice.

I would like to encourage all of you to take this great opportunity and pray for the awakening of all mother sentient beings; offering our best aspirations for their wellbeing and to practice loving kindness and compassion.

As soon as possible the Coronavirus outbreak will end and life will get back to normal. In the meantime, stay safe, remember to wash your hands regularly, and respect rules where we live.
